The worst art to collect is your own, so we decided its time to clear out our studios and have a Sideroom garage sale. This will be great chance to score artwork from all those artists you’ve always wanted but never been able to afford. Awesome art and other cool stuff at bargain prices. OH YEAH!.
Including work by Hannah Jensen, Trust me, Flox, Peepshow, Component, City, Jennie Remedy, Nadia Johnson, D, Marita Hewitt, Mark Robertson, Aaron Glasson, Shea O’Neill, Ouch, Rose Coppin, Mike Davison and more.
Here are some pics from the amazing Wrecking Ball a couple of weeks ago. Thanks heaps to Alex for putting on the dopest party of all time! But no thanks to the scumbag lighting guys who on Sunday tagged all over the artwork destroying it for the sake of what? To get your shitty name all over the wall, well done dickheads.

Matt Molloy - Deslabbed
Molloy’s practice scrutinizes ideas relating to the body and the grotesque. He draws from Science Fiction, Horror, Surrealism, Cartoons, Comic books and folk art. In turn the works produced prescribe to a rich layering of forms resulting in artifacts that are ambivalent, uncanny and undecidable. Deslabbed more specifically focuses on ideas relating to abandonment and lack and through this an inherant abundance of possibilities. More info check out http://www.mattmolloy.co.nz

Anyone who came along to the early Sideroom.com shows should remember Mc Mas, JC and Revilo. If you do (or even if you don’t) you should come and check out the show Remedy happening on Saturday the 29th March at the Rising Sun. You even get to roll gangster with cheap Alize on the night.
And for a bit of comedy and a reminder how to make a hat check out the Billy T James clip below.
Yes we have. We are finally at the end of a very crazy two weeks here at Sideroom.com. Last week we went into AUT and began on our big mural there at St Paul St Gallery 3, on Symonds St. That ended with a big party and a live recording of Sideroom TV in the gallery, a lecture from Ling Ling and the sensational Kiwi Dance Town being interviewed live. Check out the photos >>
Next we cruised down to Tauaranga on Saturday to do a show at a sweet little shop down there in Red Square called Idiom (they sell lots of cool stuff like hip wears and rad art books). At Idiom we painted 2 murals, one inside on a big canvas and the other outside on a big board. It was very interesting painting with a audience of young kids and senior citizens, great fun for sure though. Thanks heaps to Mc Mas, Rosie, Ricky and Luke for providing music for everyone. Check out the photos >>
And finally we went along to Shake and Bake at Western Park and help out painting the mural and just enjoyed the beautiful day and the end to a crazy fun 10 days. All the performers played choice set’s, shot to Kolab and The Unscene epically. Thanks to Base Fm for organising that one. Check out the photos >>
